Sorry it’s been so quiet here – I’ve been busy working! ;D

A lot has been happening since my last blog post here. A quick rundown of the highlights:

• I’ve continue working with the Almond Board of Australia (recipe development, photography, styling, writing, blogging, consulting) and Bertolli olive oil (recipe development, photography, styling).
• I wrote 10 pieces about different food industries and food producers for a new Food SA magazine aimed at the food service industry.
• I built a new portfolio site for award-winning professional photographer, Grant Nowell.
• I resigned from About.com and HonestCooking.com to focus on other projects. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with both companies and wish both of them all the best.
• I redesigned this site. What do you think? This redesign has been a long time coming and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
• I have two new clients! I can’t talk about the projects yet but one is in recipe development/photography/styling and the other is in consulting/website development/freelance writing/blogging.
• I attended a two-day Food Styling Intensive workshop with Denise Vivaldo in Sydney last weekend. Denise has been in the business for thirty years. Such a comprehensive food styling workshop has never been taught in Australia before and I felt incredibly privileged to attend as Denise’s guest.

There’s also been an exciting development regarding my food blog, The Hungry Australian. I can’t talk about it yet but watch out for an announcement in a few weeks.

Over the next six months, I’ll be developing, testing, styling and shooting Asian-style recipes using Bertolli extra light olive oil for use on Bertolli’s recipe cards,  newspaper advertising and website.

I’ll be writing about food producers and industries for a publication aimed at the food service end of the food industry e.g. Chefs, restaurants, hotels, airlines and gourmet shops.

Thanks Hardie Grant - I’m happy to be working with such a talented team on this new guide.

What fun we’re going to have!

I’ll be taking part in a famil hosted by the Dubai Tourism and Emirates.

I can’t wait to share my experiences with you.

I’ll be working with this company over the next six months, developing Asian dishes using their products.
